South, the plain formerly linked to the sea is now crossed by the Canal du Midi. A large garden, endowed with a biodiversity of its own: Large trees rub shoulders with yellow iris, rushes and large loosestrife and create a natural setting for the canal. So you can see swallows, wagtails, orioles or gray herons but also nutria, mallards, moorhens and swans. As for fish, carp, bream and roach cross other varieties, such as predatory predators: pike, pike perch, perch and catfish.

Further north, the slopes and valleys take shape mainly covered with vines and scrubland: there are kermes oaks, almond trees, fig trees and wild olive trees. More than elsewhere, perfumes accompany the walker. In spring, the scrubland is adorned with a thousand colors: yellow of Spanish broom and coronilli, white of asphodeles, pink of cistus, orchids and thyme, blue of lavender, rosemary and aphylante. An incredible spectacle!

The Orb Cross this landscape and we meet gray herons, egrets, kingfishers of course, but also more and more black kites. In the water, there are small harmless viperine snakes, pike, carp, eels ...
