The National Day on July 14 is one of the most anticipated events of the year in many regions of France. The festivities take place all over the country, and towns such as Cessenon-sur-Orb, Saint-Chinian, Capestang, Puisserguier and Creissan are no exception. Like every year, these villages in the Occitanie region are preparing to celebrate this special day with a wide variety of activities and shows. Among the highlights of these festivities are the fireworks that light up the night sky, creating a magical and festive atmosphere.
Cessenon-sur-orb
In Cessenon-sur-Orb, the national holiday is an opportunity to bring the community together in a joyful atmosphere. The festivities begin on July 13 on the Jean Moulin plan, from 19:30 p.m. with a musical aperitif followed at 22 p.m. by a concert with DJ Music Play Summer Show, food stalls and games for children such as a bouncy castle and the duck fishing. On July 14, the commemorative ceremony takes place at 11:30 a.m. and the evening of July 14 culminates with a pyrotechnic show around 23 p.m. Locals and visitors alike gather on the banks of the Orb, where they can admire the fireworks reflecting in the water, creating an unforgettable visual experience.
Capestang
On the Canal du Midi side, the national holiday will bring together the inhabitants of the region and visitors from 21:15 p.m. at the Town Hall for the torchlight procession with La Bande à Béziers.
At 22:30 p.m., on Place Jean Jaurès, a ball is planned with the London orchestra.
At 23pm, the highlight of the celebration is the magnificent fireworks display which will be fired over the Canal du Midi, near the stone bridge over the harbour, providing a picturesque backdrop for this breathtaking spectacle.

Book your place to go up to the bell tower of the Collegiate Church (about 150 steps), around 22:15 p.m.!

Saint-chinian
In Saint-Chinian, the national holiday begins in the morning! With inflatable games for children, a fishing competition, petanque, the "Jet du Bouchon", and a musical aperitif with Franck M.
From 22 p.m., there will be the traditional torchlight procession from the Town Hall to walk through the streets of the village towards the rugby stadium. The sky will ignite with the fireworks of a thousand colors!
Creissan
The village is preparing to celebrate the national holiday with brilliance during two days full of entertainment, sports competitions, music and delicacies. From Thursday, July 13 from 17:30 p.m., enjoy musical wanderings with the Cht'ite Pena Biterroise and its musicians, a meal organized by the Fosh (compulsory reservation on 06 64 75 24 74), and at 21:30 p.m. the torchlight procession from the Town Hall, all in a festive atmosphere which will continue in Square Alban Calmel with musical entertainment FLOKNROLL.
Le July 14 from 9 a.m., petanque tournament free and open to all, followed at 10 a.m. by a minitriathlon (for 10-14 year olds) with prize giving, free inflatable games for children under 10, melee belote tournament at Salle Maffre .
The municipal swimming pool will be free from 14:30 p.m. to 19:30 p.m.!
Puisserguier
Quarante
Celebrate the National Day on Friday July 14 in the village of Quarante! On the program for this festive day, an official ceremony at 11:30 a.m. at the Stèle de la Paix. A vin d'honneur will also be offered to mark this special event. At 21:00 p.m. the distribution of the torches in a warm and friendly atmosphere and at 21:30 p.m. the torchlight procession accompanied by the driving rhythm of the Batucada Tempo Loco. A show not to be missed, just like the fireworks scheduled for 22:30 p.m., complete with a light show. To end this evening in style, from 23:00 p.m., a ball hosted by DJ Events to dance and celebrate the National Day in joy and good humor.
