A magnificent corner of nature in South Hérault, near Cessenon-sur-Orb
At a place called Réals, a dolomitic chaos where the rock forms deep gorges, the Orb rushes into a passage forming impressive rapids. A little further on is the Réals bridge, a beautiful work from the end of the 19th century, it has 5 vaults of 13 meters on the left bank of the river, 1 vault of 13 meters on the right bank, connected by an arch metal 50 meters long. The wild setting of the site is ideal for fishing and relaxing on the shaded picnic area which also has many barbecues, very popular with locals and holidaymakers who come with their families to recharge their batteries.
Regularly, the Réals base hosts canoe-kayak competitions on the rapids.
(Due to the current, swimming is prohibited from the picnic area to the bridge).
