Standing on its rocky base, wedged behind the defensive system, the keep indicates the location of the old fortress. This tower, of quadrangular plan with a height of 15 m and 6 m of side, was built with local materials. The more recent lower part has pointed bays. Very simple type gargoyles adorned the corners. In 1921 three bells baptized by Cardinal de Cabrières in the church of Cessenon were hoisted in the bell tower. A clock was installed in the middle of the facade at the beginning of the XNUMXth century.
