When the architecture of Saint-Chinian is savored in music
The Institute of the Old Abbey of Saint-Chinian offers you a new season of "Summer Musicales": 23 concerts including two festivals which run from June to September in historic places of Saint-Chinian such as the abbey , the cloister and the parish church of ND de la Barthe.
Enthusiasts, neophytes, curious, music lovers, vibrate to the sound of captivating voices, guitars, organs and pianos in places steeped in history, where the remarkable acoustics will make you experience wonderful moments of exaltation.
This perfect marriage which honors art and architecture is orchestrated by the Association "Institut de l'Ancienne Abbaye de Saint-Chinian". It comes to life through 23 high-quality concerts, including two festivals: the MUSISC festival (July 19 to 23), the JAZZ AU CLOÎTRE festival (July 1er to September 3), with a subtle alliance of styles: Opera, Classical, Jazz, World Music...
Proximity to prestigious artists but also young talents, as well as affordable prices (7-18€), are the major assets of the "Musicales d'été". This is what has made these meetings so successful since 2016.
This 2023 season will be just as enjoyable as the previous ones, with a quality and eclectic program, accessible to all (detailed program at the bottom of the page)
For even more pleasure, the association has concocted new things this year, and in particular the glass of friendship after the concerts in the company of the musicians for a convivial moment, sponsored by a different winegrower each evening.
The restaurant owners of the village are also associated, and will offer special menus with aperitif offered, in line with the schedules of the shows so as not to miss a crumb!
